Black Wallpaper HD 1280x1024
1280x1024 is the 5:4 shape older desktop monitors use — a widescreen file set on one of these gets squashed. These are cut to fit. Uploaded by the community; register to add more.
5:4 is an unusual ratio: slightly taller than 4:3 and nothing like the 16:9 most wallpapers are made for. Set a 1920x1080 image on a 1280x1024 screen and Windows either stretches it (circles turn into ovals) or crops the sides off. Sizes here match the panel, so neither happens. Plenty of 1280x1024 monitors are still in use on office and secondary desks. Right-click to save — free, no watermark.
