All Black Wallpaper
The everything-black shelf — matte solids, city nightscapes, macOS and Nothing-style stock darks, all in one place instead of scattered across themed galleries. Free downloads; contributions welcome after sign-in.
Some people search for a specific black wallpaper; this gallery is for the ones who just want it all black and will know the right one when they see it. The mix runs from strict solids through urban night shots to the dark stock walls that ship with new phones and Macs — different subjects, same discipline: deep shade, low glare, icons stay readable. Wide and tall cuts both live here, so check the shape against your screen before downloading. Long-press on a phone or right-click on a computer, save it, set it. All of it free for personal use, no watermark anywhere.
Common questions
Do black wallpapers actually save battery?
On OLED and AMOLED screens, yes. A true-black (#000000) pixel is switched off rather than dimmed, so it draws no power — and with an always-on display that runs all day the difference is measurable. On an LCD screen it saves nothing, because the backlight stays on either way. Not sure which you have? Our OLED test tool fills the screen with pure black: on an OLED it goes completely dark, on an LCD you can still see the backlight glowing grey.
How do I set one as my wallpaper?
Long-press on mobile or right-click on desktop to save the image, then set it from your gallery or system wallpaper settings.
