Fully Black Wallpaper
Fully black, zero asterisks — full-screen fills and the deepest near-solids, both orientations, for people who read 'mostly black' as a broken promise. Free downloads.
Fully is the word people add when they have been burned before — by blacks that turned out grey, by solids hiding a watermark corner. This shelf takes the adjective seriously: full-frame blacks and the deepest near-solids, clean at any brightness. Nothing decorative survived the cut. Tall and wide files both stocked, so phone and monitor leave equally served. Long-press on a phone or right-click on a desktop, save the file, then set it from your gallery or system settings. Free for personal use throughout.
Common questions
Do black wallpapers actually save battery?
On OLED and AMOLED screens, yes. A true-black (#000000) pixel is switched off rather than dimmed, so it draws no power — and with an always-on display that runs all day the difference is measurable. On an LCD screen it saves nothing, because the backlight stays on either way. Not sure which you have? Our OLED test tool fills the screen with pure black: on an OLED it goes completely dark, on an LCD you can still see the backlight glowing grey.
