Dark Black Wallpaper Android
Cut for Android screens — Galaxy, Pixel, OnePlus and the taller aspect ratios they use. Community-uploaded; sign in to share yours.
Android fragments harder than iPhone: a Galaxy S is 1080x2340, a Pixel is 1080x2400, and some OnePlus panels go past 1440x3216. Files here are 1080x2400 or larger so they cover the tall end without stretching. Almost all of these use AMOLED, where a true black pixel is switched off entirely — and Android's Material You will also pull its accent colours from your wallpaper, so a dark file gives you a genuinely dark system theme. Common questions
Do black wallpapers actually save battery?
On OLED and AMOLED screens, yes. A true-black (#000000) pixel is switched off rather than dimmed, so it draws no power — and with an always-on display that runs all day the difference is measurable. On an LCD screen it saves nothing, because the backlight stays on either way. Not sure which you have? Our OLED test tool fills the screen with pure black: on an OLED it goes completely dark, on an LCD you can still see the backlight glowing grey.
How do I set one as my wallpaper?
Long-press the image and save it, then open your Gallery or Photos app, tap the menu and choose Set as wallpaper. On Samsung you can also long-press the home screen and tap Wallpaper.
