Black Wood iPhone Wallpaper
Woodgrain for the palm — dark plank textures, monochrome forest-road scenes, apple-carved grain pieces, old-wood line studies. Organic black, phone-shaped. Free.
Wood is the friendliest dark texture there is — grain gives the eye something living without asking attention — and these cuts keep it iPhone-shaped: dark planks in close detail, monochrome forest roads, an apple mark carved into grain, old-wood line studies. Nearly every file is portrait. Long-press the image, Save to Photos, then Settings › Wallpaper. Free for personal use — the tree did the hard part decades ago.
Common questions
Do black wallpapers actually save battery?
On OLED and AMOLED screens, yes. A true-black (#000000) pixel is switched off rather than dimmed, so it draws no power — and with an always-on display that runs all day the difference is measurable. On an LCD screen it saves nothing, because the backlight stays on either way. Not sure which you have? Our OLED test tool fills the screen with pure black: on an OLED it goes completely dark, on an LCD you can still see the backlight glowing grey.
