Black Live Wallpaper 4K
4K frames from the live-wallpaper world — a black hole mid-spin, Warhammer and Spider-Man scenes, black waves — all held as stills. No animation, full resolution. Free downloads.
The 4K live-wallpaper scene produces some of the best dark compositions anywhere, and this gallery keeps their strongest single frames. A black hole render paused at its most dramatic, a symbiote Spider-Man scene, waves of black caught mid-motion — files with the energy of animation and the crispness of a proper 4K still. Worth repeating plainly: these do not move; they are high-resolution images that look like they could. Wide cuts lead by a distance. Right-click, Save image as, then set it as your desktop background. Free for personal use, no signup.
Common questions
Do black wallpapers actually save battery?
On OLED and AMOLED screens, yes. A true-black (#000000) pixel is switched off rather than dimmed, so it draws no power — and with an always-on display that runs all day the difference is measurable. On an LCD screen it saves nothing, because the backlight stays on either way. Not sure which you have? Our OLED test tool fills the screen with pure black: on an OLED it goes completely dark, on an LCD you can still see the backlight glowing grey.
How do I set one as my wallpaper?
Long-press on mobile or right-click on desktop to save the image, then set it from your gallery or system wallpaper settings.
